Shooter titles dominated China’s livestreaming landscape in June 2026, standing out as some of the month’s most-watched content. Niko Partners China Games & Livestreaming Tracker reveals that shooter remained one of the most-watched genres in China’s livestreaming market in June 2026, driven by global esports events.

Tencent’s shooter portfolio maintained a dominant presence in China’s livestreaming market, with five titles ranking among the top 10 by Niko Index: Delta Force (#1), Valorant (#3), Peacekeeper Elite (#4), CrossFire (#5), and Valorant Mobile (#9). This underscores Tencent’s strength across both PC and mobile shooter segments.

  • We observe that major esports tournaments generated significant audience spikes for shooter titles in June, as seen with Counter Strike 2 during the IEM Cologne Major and Valorant during Masters London.
  • Valve’s Counter Strike 2, a F2P PC shooter game, garnered 137.5 million viewers (+50% MoM) and ranked #4, unchanged from the prior month.
  • Riot Game’s Valorant, a F2P PC shooter game, garnered 128.9 million viewers (+62% MoM) and ranked #5, a rise from #7 in the prior month.
  • Chinese teams performed substantially better at Valorant Masters London 2026 than at the IEM Cologne Major. EDward Gaming placed #3 and earned $125,000, while XLG Esports and Dragon Ranger Gaming also secured prize money. In comparison, TYLOO finished 17th at the IEM Cologne Major with $10,000.
