Twelve of Indonesia’s best Free Fire teams participated in the grand final of the KONI Cup 2020 which was held on November 28-29. The Prime team rose up amid the other 11 teams and won the champion title of the 2020 KONI Cup tournament. As the champion, The Prime is entitled to a prize of IDR 60 million Rupiah. The second position is occupied by the First Raiders team, who is entitled to a prize of IDR 40 million. Red Bull Rebellion had to settle for being in third place and was entitled to a prize of IDR 30 million.

The tournament was organized by PB Esports Indonesia and supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI). The KONI Cup 2020 esports tournament is the first tournament presented by KONI as the sports authority in Indonesia, with the organization aiming to further bring esports into a mainstream activity in the country. In his remarks at the opening of the tournament’s Grand Final, the chairman of the Central KONI, Marciano Norman, gave his appreciation and gratitude to the participants, and said that the KONI Esports Cup was held as a form of government facilitation in esports development in Indonesia and that the event will be held annually.
