Baparekraf Game Prime 2020 Online

The biggest game industry event in Indonesia, Baparekraf Game Prime 2020 Online was held last month from August 1-5. The annual event, a collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy / the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency, the Indonesian Game Association (AGI), and GGWP.ID was held since in 2016 when it was called BEKRAF Game Prime.

Baparekraf Game Prime 2020 Online event was implemented differently due to the pandemic, with the audience participated in entire series of events through online broadcasting rather than the usual physical event. Even though it was held online, Baparekraf Game Prime 2020 Online remains committed to present quality events, including local game exhibitions, educative masterclasses and webinars, mini game activities, and a PUBG Mobile esports tournament. The events garnered a total number of viewers that exceeded 600,000, setting a new record for Game Prime.

Josua A Simanjuntak, the ministry’s Acting Deputy for Digital Economy and Creative Products stated that “Baparekraf Game Prime (BGP) is the only event that brings together stakeholders in the field of digital games in the country. In BGP, game developers can show their work to gamers and game enthusiasts. BGP also provides the opportunity for business meetings between game developers and investors.”
